Hello, my name is Austin Wilson. I want to start off by saying how happy and thrilled I am to have the opportunity to teach these brilliant students! I have lived in Bullitt County all of my life. I graduated from Bullitt East High School in 2013.
Teaching is something that has always been in my life, my mother was and still is a teacher in Bullitt County at the elementary level and in 9th grade I decided that I would like to become a teacher. I began to have the desire to become a Social Studies teacher after having a series of Social Studies teachers that had a great impact on my learning! I attended the University of Louisville from 2013-2017. It was here that I graduated with a teaching degree in middle and secondary education in Social Studies. I consider myself an avid outdoorsman and bass fishing is up there with breathing if you ask me. I loved bass fishing so much that the University of Louisville recruited me to fish for them at the collegiate level. I had the privilege to travel the country fishing many great rivers and lakes on both the FLW ans BASS collegiate series. I loved teaching so much I decided to marry a teacher. My wife is a teacher in JCPS with students that are deaf and hard of hearing. She is a great help through this life, whether it be helping match my shirts and ties or keeping me organized in all walks of life. These are just a few things about me, I hope we can get to know each other more over the course of the year. I am looking forward to providing the best education possible for our students! If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me via phone or email. |
